Baeshen
History

1887

The Baeshen family takes its first steps as traders, sending dhows across the Indian Ocean to India for rice, sugar, and other goods for the Arabian market.

1920

Abu Jabal first appears in Arabia. The Baeshen brothers quenched the local thirst with the importation of a long-leaf Ceylonese tea packed in wooden chests.

1957

On April 11, the family business is officially registered with the Saudi government under the name Ahmed Mohamed Saleh Baeshen & Co.

1994

Baeshen joins the industrial revolution of South Jeddah, assembling the Kingdom’s largest tea factory and first tea lab in a bold step towards vertical integration.
